It was in an age long past, a time when our people were very young and our land was lush with water, a paradise to men and animals alike, and the world was new and fresh, before the time of turmoil, before the time of the storyweaver, in whose footsteps I tread so cautiously, so that I might not make a new cataclysm. It was shortly after my fourth Naming Day. I was playing by the river under the cliffs, with my best friend, Yunice. She looked up from the rollybeetle we had been watching and said, "Why are you so strange, Quin?" I sat cross-legged, opposite my friend whose bright red skirts looked even brighter splayed out across the wet dirt behind her. Rain, faithless, falls; Kneeling at the feet, Of the shores of tomorrow's, Forgotten loves. Loves never spoken, Only whispered in small gestures, Hinted at around the eyes, The lips. I was nervous when I arrived. Had my information been right? Was she used to trans patients? Would she be supportive and helpful or weirded out? Would this be a waste of time or the freeing experience I hoped it would be? I looked around the lobby. It was small and well furnished. A large coffee table occupied the center of the room, surrounded on two sides by a small sofa and an armchair, which for some reason made me think of my grandfather. Snow!

So, there was a bunch of snow here last week in Tucson.  It even stuck on the ground for a whole day in some places.  It's pretty rare to have snow like that here.  My partner, cereus-cactus (https://www.deviantart.com/cereus-cactus) and I had a blast playing in it and seeing the beautiful desert landscape transformed by the white fluffy stuff. Been a while

So, I haven't been on deviantART in  so long most of you have probably forgotten about me, but I expect to be able to check back more frequently now. As some of you know, I started to publicly present as female about a year ago and start taking estrogen in the hopes of alleviating some dysphoria.  While this has for the most part been a very wonderful experience for me, it has been a difficult time in my life as well. At the same time I started making these changes, I also made some tough life choices, the biggest of which was moving out of the house where the love of my life lived.  It was a very difficult thing to do for many reasons and
